Our mission
Why Peerly exists
Breast cancer care is advanced. Human support isn’t. At diagnosis you are given a medical team, a treatment plan, and a great deal of information. What you are rarely given is the thing people ask for first: someone who has actually been through it.
Peerly is the missing layer. We match you, one to one, with a trained mentor whose experience closely mirrors your own, so the conversation is relevant from the very first message. It sits alongside your clinical care, never in place of it.
The service is free and always will be. We are a non-profit, and we never want cost to stand between someone and the support they need.

Stacey Kline
Co-founder
“Since my diagnosis as a BRCA carrier, I’ve felt there should be one place to go to talk to someone who’s been there before. Peerly means finding 1:1 support no longer needs to be happenstance.”
Stacey is a Founding Partner at February Capital, a venture capital firm. She is the prior founder of The Good Fund and Otto Intelligence, and began her career practicing corporate law. Stacey has been widely involved in charitable initiatives focused on building community, connection, and meaningful support systems.
Lauren Levy

“I found out I carried the BRCA1 mutation at 25, when there were almost no resources and almost no one my age to talk to. Ever since, people have kept introducing me to women just beginning their own journeys. What they needed wasn’t information — it was someone at a similar age and stage who had already been there.”
Lauren is the co-founder of the nationally distributed CPG brand Odd Cookie Snacks. She is deeply committed to philanthropy, with a specific focus on food insecurity and women’s health.
Dr. Toni Zhong

“I saw a major gap in care: newly diagnosed patients were leaving my breast cancer clinic with a void that medical information alone could not fill. Peerly addresses this need through conversations with women who have already gone through a similar experience.”
A reconstructive breast surgeon for almost twenty years, Toni has cared for thousands of women navigating breast cancer. She is the Belinda Stronach Chair in Breast Cancer Reconstruction at University Health Network (UHN), led the development of clinical guidelines for breast cancer reconstruction in Ontario, and is an advocate for women’s health.
